About ISO

The International Students Organisation Hohenheim e.V. is a student-run initiative that wants to support the integration of foreign students at the Universtiy of Hohenheim. Our main goals are the enhancement of intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding as well as the establishment of international contacts.

The activities of ISO are manifold: We have a so-called Buddy Program that assigns a student of Hohenheim to every foreign student. The Buddies help the new students to get settled in their new environment.

Furthermore, we offer many organised trips, language tandems and parties at which students present their country and culture.

ISO was formed 2001 by seven committed students and has developed to an inherent part of university life: The Buddy Program and the close collaboration with the Office of International Affairs make it possible for arriving students to get support and advice from the beginning.

Our trips to Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg and other parts of Germany are meant to present the cultural highlights of our country.

The language tandems render the possibility to the students to deepen the language abilities they have gained in the language courses and to use their knowledge in daily life.

Our Culture Nights are very popular and well attended every time.

At the moment ISO consists of about 15-20 active members of different fields of study. If you are interested in joining ISO dont´t hesitate to come to one of our regular meetings.
